The Best Intervention Award competition was organized to recognize creativity, collaboration, and impactful action in advancing sustainability across schools and universities. Its main objective was to highlight and reward interventions designed and implemented by students and teachers to improve school life, infrastructure, and sustainability education.
Ten Demonstration Sites from Finland, Spain, and Romania participated, submitting their projects and short videos that showcased their initiatives. Interventions were evaluated by a jury according to four criteria: Implementation and Impact, Participation Level, Ambition, and Contribution to the ECF4CLIM Roadmap.
Awards were granted in four categories — primary, lower secondary, upper secondary, and university — along with two special prizes for Student Empowerment and Innovation in Sustainability Education. The Grand Prize was decided through live voting by all participants after the video presentations.
