The ECF4CLIM project empowers the educational community to address climate change and promote sustainable development

Through a transdisciplinary approach, ECF4CLIM fosters participatory processes in schools and universities to enable sustainable education. Innovative organisational models (sustainability competence teams and committees) are used to design interventions that can be adapted and applied to wider educational communities.
ECF4CLIM looks at educational organizations’ capabilities through three lenses:

Through a transdisciplinary approach, ECF4CLIM fosters participatory processes in schools and universities to enable sustainable education.

Young people, teachers and administrators engage in joint deliberation on how to promote sustainable individual and collective competences, and jointly evaluate the outcomes of the learning experience.

Innovative organisational models (sustainability competence teams and committees) are used to design interventions that can be adapted and applied to wider educational communities.

By crowdsourcing ideas, relevant knowledge and practical insights are generated, which can inform policy and pave the way towards an integrated approach to sustainable solutions across diverse European contexts.

As a result, the ECF4CLIM Roadmap is built. This is a comprehensive framework with conceptual tools for educational communities to understand and promote sustainability competences in their own context.
