The ECF4CLIM flipbooks are interactive, visually engaging educational resources designed to support learning and capacity building in sustainability. Designed for students, educators and stakeholders, these digital publications translate complex topics such as climate change, energy systems and sustainable development into accessible, structured content. By combining concise explanations, data-driven insights and intuitive navigation, the flipbooks facilitate self-learning and classroom use. They also reflect the project’s commitment to bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical understanding, thereby empowering users to make informed decisions and contribute actively to the transition towards a more sustainable future.
There are five flipbooks, categorised according to the ECF4CLIM roadmap areas (Engagement, Connections, Change and Action), as well as an introductory module. They incorporate practical examples and links to interventions carried out in schools and universities, as well as to the tools developed in the project, such as the Environmental Footprint Calculator, the Retrofitting Toolkit and the Sustainability Interventions Evaluation Tool.
A comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles that underpin environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This includes recognizing the intrinsic interconnections between these three pillars and how they collectively shape long-term societal well-being. Emphasis is placed on the critical role of individual behaviors and decision-making processes, and how these translate into cumulative global impacts—affecting ecosystems, resource availability, social equity, and economic resilience across generations.
